Travel Consultations
Reduce Your Risk
If you are travelling outside of Canada or the United States, we offer travel consultations for many travel destinations.

It is beneficial to see a health professional 1 to 2 months before leaving for your trip to ensure you are adequately prepared.

Our travel consultation fee is $25 for common destinations such as: Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Jamaica.
For any other destinations, a more complex consultation may be required. Therefore, for any other destinations our travel consultation fee is $50.
All consultations must be booked in advance.

This service includes, but is not limited to:
-
Vaccine review:
-
Travel vaccines such as hepatitis A and B, typhoid fever, and traveler's diarrhea
-
We are also certified to administer the Yellow Fever vaccine.
-
-
Routine vaccines such as annual influenza, COVID, pneumococcal, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), shingles, and more
-
Note: vaccines that are not covered by Alberta Health require an administration fee of $20 per injection. Unfortunately, this fee cannot be direct billed to your insurance by the pharmacy. However, it can be reimbursed by some private insurance plans if you are able to manually submit it to your insurance yourself
-
-
Travel prescriptions
-
You may benefit from having antibiotics on hand in case of traveler's diarrhea, medications for malaria prevention, and more
-
-
Assessment for other medications for minor ailments such as upset stomach, diarrhea, mild pain, and more
Please bring the following items to the pharmacy when coming in for your travel consultation:
-
List of your current medications (if not a regular patient at our pharmacy)

Your travel itinerary including dates you are abroad

Every travel consultation is unique as no two patients are the same and recommendations may differ depending on your destination!
